DAA Capital Partners participates in Series A financing round
DAA Capital Partners is pleased to announce a recently completed investment in Luckabox, Inc., an on-demand delivery management platform company.
Luckabox, a Swiss-based company, offers on-demand and same-day delivery courier services to businesses. Luckabox has developed sophisticated in-house technology to enhance the efficiency of B2B delivery. Bertrand Mueller, co-founder of DAA Capital, explained the investment rationale: “Clearly, LuckaBox is well-positioned to address major pain points in logistic trends, namely on-demand same-day delivery. We particularly appreciate that such a young company has been able to attract top industry talents. Being able to consistently surprise on the upside and to compress sales cycles bodes well for the company’s future.” Luckabox was able to hire Kenneth Crookston, ex-Head of Engineering at eBay, as their new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Kenneth Crookston will lead the IT strategy team and will oversee the IT infrastructure optimization for the existing operations, as well as the development of Luckabox’s long-term vision. DAA Capital Partners led the Series-A investment round, which was co-financed by Alpana Ventures, the Swiss ICT Investors Club (SICTIC), and other first-hour investors. The proceeds of the funds will be allocated to expand Luckabox operations in the DACH region (Germany and Austria), as well as to invest in its technology infrastructure to support its fast-growing number of clients. “Following the latest announcements of collaborations and customers, LuckaBox’s standing as a key and enabling technology in the on-demand logistics market has been validated one more time with this oversubscribed round. Our management team is thrilled by the investors’ confidence and interest,” said LuckaBox’s CEO, Aike Festini.
